Dulce de Leche Chocolate Mousse
Ingredients
- 1 Gatsby sea salt extra dark chocolate bar
- 1 Gatsby dulce de leche chocolate bar
- 2 large eggs seperate egg yolk & egg white
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream divided into 2
Toppings (Optional)
- grated Gatsby sea salt extra dark chocolate
- whip cream
- fresh strawberry
Instructions
- Using a kitchen knife, chop one whole dulce de leche chocolate bar and one whole sea salt extra dark chocolate bar. Reserve a small piece to use for topping if dessired.1 Gatsby sea salt extra dark chocolate bar, 1 Gatsby dulce de leche chocolate bar
- Separate egg yolk and egg whites of two large eggs.2 large eggs
- In a mixing bowl add egg yolks and sugar. Whisk until well combined. Set aside1/3 cup granulated sugar
- In a medium saucepan, combine half of the heavy whipping cream and chopped chocolate. Stir continously until the chocolate is fully melted.1 cup heavy whipping cream
- Once the chocolate is fully melted, whisk into the egg yolks and sugar previously mixed. Continue to whisk until fully combined. Set aside the chocolate mixture.
- Using a stand mixer or hand mixer, beat egg whites until stiff peaks form. Fold the egg white mixture into the chocolate mixture.
- Using your stand mixer again, add the remaining half cup of heavy whipping cream and beat until stiff peaks form.
- Immediately fold the whipped cream mixture into the chocolate mixture.
- Pour into serving glass coups and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
- Top with whip cream, grated dark chocolate and garnish with a fresh strawberry. Enjoy!grated Gatsby sea salt extra dark chocolate, whip cream, fresh strawberry
